Sept 2011 In ABC’s TV show “Once Upon A Time”, Kate plays a distraught mother in the opening scene of the 8th episode. It’s one of the most exciting period-piece TV shows to be shooting in Vancouver this year. Kate’s costume is an original used on Warner Brother’s 1960’s film ‘Camelot’! June 2011 TORA has been Officially Selected at DisOrient Asian American FilmFest, Garden State In’tl FilmFest, Heart of Heart In’tl FilmFest, Mexico In’tl FilmFest, Spirit Quest In’tl FilmFest, In’tl Filmmakers Festival of World Cinema, and now at the MAUI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL. April 2011 Kate books another role as a police officer, this time as a crisis negotiator cop for a Police force promotional video.

March 2011 The world premiere of TORA, at the Women’s International Film Festival. Booking a RONA commercial is a highlight at the end of the month.

June 2010 Kate returns to Kelowna for one week to shoot the summer scenes of TORA. This time David Suzuki joins her as co-star in his first-ever fictional performance as a former prisoner of Japanese Internment camps. She works with a top-notch team of professionals under the amazing direction of Wendy Ord and Glen Samuels to shoot a beautiful story in only 6 days. May 2010 Kate Bateman books her first TV Pilot role on AMC’s The Killing. She is directed by Patty Jenkins (director of the Oscar-nominated movie Monster) and gets to spend the day working with Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman.

February 2010 Cast as the lead in TORA, the latest project of Mountain Lake Films, to be directed by award-winning director/writer Wendy Ord and Glen Samuels, Kate flies to Kelowna to film the winter scenes on a frozen lake.

November 2009 Kate Bateman books a Carnival Cruise commercial which has her and several other lucky Canadian actors jet-setting to New York City for wardrobe, and disembarking to the Bahamas. July 2009 Completion of the 6-month creative writing mentorship program at the Humber College School for Writers. She had the privilege of working under the tutorship of award-winning poet and novelist, Karen Connelly.

July 2009 Kate Bateman and Laura Wilson star in the play Insider Trading, produced at the Walking Fish Theatre Festival directed by John Bolton.
